Tarkov needs more Free Market

In a recent 0.10 preview post, the developers announced that the "flea market" will be in the next patch, in August. Let's take a look at what they said: "Sell your loot in rag fairs and auctions." Perhaps this would finally fix the static loot progression. At first I got excited. But then I read this: "A: Flee market is a system that allows every player, when he hits a certain level, to put his items on sale. So you can put on sale any item in any amount and request certain items, that you have examined, in exchange (examined items will be included in the Codex). Number of your offers is limited, you can increase it by increasing your Trading skill. Every player will have a trading reputation which will provide certain bonuses. And most importantly – Flee market will have Advanced Search that will help to find, for example, certain weapon mods, ammo etc. There will be a convenient cataloging of all goods. Also, every trade ...

6b43

28.6.2018 Some observations: 9x39 will perform 2x as well as other calibers of the same penetration value. This means that there are invisible parameters beyond penetration power that govern how much armor damage is caused. Example: 5.45 BS has penetration of 50, but only the same armor damage as a 9x39 SP6 (penetration 32). An SP-6 is more expensive than a 5.45 BS but considering the weapon it was made for comes with an integral suppressor and firing it has practically no recoil makes the 9x39 a very dangerous and very overlooked cartridge. Thanks to the "sheer force" shotgun SJWs screaming for more armor damage, a simple 20x70 TOZ shot will do 8 armor damage against 6b43, which is more than the most powerful sniper cartridges. And that is not realistic because a single buckshot pellet has less muzzle energy than a 9x18 round. I hope BSG will fix that as it appears to be an oversight. The developers appear to have used 1 shotgun pellet = 1 armor poi...

Armor Basics

Let's talk about armor. The game features two different armor types currently, helmets and armor vests. Armor vests protect the chest and stomach, while the 6b43 armor vest also extends protection to the arms. The body parts protected can be verified by mouse over pointing over "armor zones" 6b43 protects the arms, not just the center of mass. Helmets protect only the parts of the head that they physically cover. This is a new addition for 0.8.   Note that the different attachment armor parts also provide different protection levels. The visor armor class is 4 on the Altyn helmet, while the helmet itself is class 5. Armor Damage When a bullet strikes a piece of armor, several things are considered by the game: Caliber Ammo Type Armor Tarkov Ballistics sheet for the 5.45 ( link ) Caliber The first consideration is the caliber. This is the diameter of the bullet, designated in milimeters, like for the 5.34x39mm. Other designation...
